Brewing green tea
Chinese and Japanese medicine has been using the pro-health properties of green tea for centuries.

Tea leaves are all the more valuable the larger the pieces remain intact, slowly developing in the brew to allow for a gradual release of their beneficial compounds. Consuming green tea adds energy and stimulates all the senses. Especially since it can be enriched with flower petals and pieces of fruit. Tea composes perfectly with them and tastes great. Thanks to the beautiful, colourful flowers such as cornflower, orange, marigold or cornflower contained in tea blends, we witness a truly appetizing phenomenon. The flowers add a wonderful colour to the tea, while pieces of fruit such as lemon, raspberry, prickly pear, quince, cherry or orange complement the whole.
Note: Green tea has been a daily drink in Japan and China for 5,000 years. It was not discovered in Europe until the 17th century. Tea from young leaves is considered an aristocratic beverage in China. Once it could only be collected by children or virgins wearing white gloves.
How do you brew good green tea?
80⁰C approx. 3 min.
It is usually brewed for up to 3 minutes in boiled water at 80⁰C, which helps to avoid a bitter aftertaste. The same leaves can be brewed up to 3 times, and the most valuable infusion is usually the second. People in China say that the first brewing gives an aroma, the second taste and the third long friendship.
Another way, preferred by native Chinese, conducive to meditation and tranquility, is 10 minutes at a temperature of about 50⁰C.
